KIKA contemporary art space Web Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)

"Personal Information" refers to information about a living individual as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, including details such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, and other identifiers that can identify a specific individual. It also includes biometric data such as facial appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information like health insurance card numbers that can identify an individual on its own (Personally Identifiable Information).

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)

Our company may collect personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when users register for our services. Additionally, we may collect transaction records or payment information between users and our partners (information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, etc.) from these partners.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

  • To provide and manage our services
  • To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)
  • To inform users about new features, updates, campaigns, and other services we provide
  • To communicate important maintenance or other necessary notifications
  • To identify and restrict users who violate terms of use or attempt to use services fraudulently
  • To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registered information and usage history
  • To charge users for paid services
  • For purposes incidental to the above

Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)

We may change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably recognized that the change is relevant to the original purpose. If any changes occur, we will notify users using our prescribed methods or publish the changes on our website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

In the following cases, the recipient of the information is not considered a third party:

  • When personal information is shared with a specific individual and such sharing is pre-notified to or easily accessible by the individual

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

Upon request from the individual, we will disclose their personal information without delay. However, we may not disclose information in the following cases:

  • If it may harm the rights and interests of the individual or third parties
  • If it may significantly hinder our business operations
  • If it would violate laws and regulations A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for disclosing personal information.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

Users may request corrections, additions, or deletions (hereinafter "Corrections") of their personal information if there are errors. If the request is deemed necessary, we will promptly carry out the Corrections and notify the user of the results.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

Upon request from the individual, we will suspend or delete (hereinafter "Suspension of Use") personal information if it is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose or obtained through fraudulent means. Based on our investigation, if action is deemed necessary, we will promptly respond. If Suspension of Use is difficult or involves significant costs, alternative measures will be taken to protect user rights, and users will be notified.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

This policy may be changed without notifying users. The revised policy will become effective upon being posted on our website.
