KIKA contemporary art space (KIKA cas) is a creative venue that brings together art and people through solo and group exhibitions, performances, talk events, and more. We provide an environment that is conducive to engaging with audience members and open hours primarily on the weekends. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance. KIKA cas sits tucked away in a culturally and historically rich area between Kyoto Imperial Palace and Kamo River near Kojin Bridge. Its calm yet lively neighborhood buzzes with art and culture, surrounded by various cafes and shops. KIKA cas aims to provide guests with innovative art experiences from season to season.
KIKA cas is ideal for a variety of creative activities, including:

Business Hours: 13:00 - 19:00 on weekends and holidays
Base Fee: ¥80,000 (€480/$500) per day (tax excluded)
Second Day On: ¥20,000 (€120/$125) per day (tax excluded)
Overtime Fee: Extra charges apply for outside hours. (see terms for details)

To reserve, please contact KIKA cas to discuss your preferred dates and project details. After confirming availability, we will proceed with the booking. Depending on the content, submission of an exhibition plan may be required. Upon finalizing, please complete the application form and make a 50% advance payment. Note that some projects may be declined.
Space and Capacity: 24m², max 20 people.
Cancellation: Cancellation within 3 months will result in a 50% fee; within 1 month, a 100% fee.
Setup and Takedown: Setup occurs on Mondays and takedown on Thursdays. Additional fees apply to use the venue on other days.
Venue Rules: Building premises and equipment must be handled with care and consideration to other guests and the neighborhood by moderating distracting sounds and scents. Any damage to the facilities must be compensated by the renter.
