In my search for a new artistic technique, I focused my work on one style. I chose to use what I call marouflage, a mixed technique. My works (paintings) are prepared using kraft paper combined with cotton fabric (marouflé), inspired by Timbuktu manuscripts. In my research, I discovered the N'KO script. Indeed, in 1940, Guinean artist Solomana Kanté experimented with a form of writing that I'm enthusiastic about. Combining writing, drawing, and painting, I explore the creative potential of what I call graphic poetry, because I don't encourage visitors to read, but rather to see the concept of graphics.
